Keepsake Card

Keepsake Card
What you need:
144 cm square greeting card
6 cm square piece of still card
8cm square piece of material
At least 3 colours of co-ordinating paper
Shiny silver or gold paper
4 square jewels
1 embellishment
Glue

1.  Starting with the card and material, put glue around the edge of the card and lay the card dry side down onto the material. Centre the card, fold the material over and press it down onto the glue. Pay particular attention to making neat corners.

2.  Starting with the first and largest layer of paper, cut a 12 cm square. Cut a 10 cm square of the next layer. Taking your choice of shiny paper, cut an 8 cm square, follow this by a 7 cm square of your last piece of paper.

3. Now is the time to assemble it. Put each square in turn on a clean spare piece of paper and using a stick glue, carefully put glue around the edge paying attention to covering all the edge. Starting with the largest square of paper stick it onto the card and build up the layers to the smallest.

4. Top the layers of paper with the material covered card.

5. Finally, bring your card to life by gluing on the centre embellishment and the four corner jewels.
