Spring/Summer 2010
Creating Axminster Artisans and organising several large art and craft shows has been taking up a lot of my time.

Winter 2009
Announcing the creation of Axminster Artisans. One good thing to come out of the hard work in the summer was the connection with Wendy Fountain. We have come together to promote Axminster Artists and Artisans by finding places to hold exhibitions and permanent displays. Our first event was a two-week show in November/December. It was well attended and we sold several pieces of art, turned wood, glass, sculpture and art cards.

Summer/Autumn 2009
I have been working all hours organising several fundraiser for the Awareness Centre. Lyn and I decided upon a week of festivities and called it the Axminster Summerfest. Unfortunately for us, more people expressed an interest in supporting and helping us once the festival was over! It was a lot of hard work and many many long hours, mostly voluntary. This resulted in me not keeping up with my artwork and degree at all.

Spring 2009
Doing our best to keep warm, mostly using wood gathered and chopped by my husband and two sons. Snow apparently on it's way, but we'll probably just get a dusting. Recently upgraded my studio with a variety of kitchen units to make a lot more storage space as well as table top space so that I can have several different projects on the go at once. My paintings are selling very well at ChloErin. It's such a lovely shop and I'm very pleased to be part of it. My glass kites have been doing very well at the Meeting House Arts Centre. I hope to have a display at The Dorset Pedlar in Bridport in March. I now work on Wednesday's at the Axminster Awareness Centre a charity which provides complementary therapies, spiritual healing and lots of classes, workshops and talks. Gearing up for their MBS Weekend fayre in March and the bi-annual art fair in Branscombe at Easter.

Autumn 2008
We've been having very nice weather recently, and I'm still in sandals mid-October - can't beat that! I've been inspired and made lots of new kites which I'll be putting on the website soon. I've just taken six paintings and some greetings cards into ChloErin, a shop and complementary healthcare centre in the centre of Axminster. It has a lovely feel to it and it's like an Aladdin's cave full of tempting things! The Meeting House Arts Centre in Ilminster has taken lots of kites to sell. The Awareness Centre Fayre is coming up fast on October 25th and I'm busy painting for that - maybe I'll see you there?

Summer 2008
Whilst the weather hasn't been so great this Summer, it's given me the opportunity to paint, paint, paint! I have also volunteered to be on Reception at the Awareness Centre in Axminster on Thursday afternoons. It is a charity run complementary therapy and healing centre and has a group which organizes all sorts of talks, workshops and events. They have recently repainted several rooms and invited me to hang paintings to add some much need colour.

Spring 2008
The flowers are breathtaking, the air fragrant, the birds chirping and the sun warm (well, most of the time!). I've currently got a solo exhibition at the Axminster Arts Cafe in Axminster until the beginning of June. I couple of new pieces are included and soon to come to the website (if not sold of course!). It was lovely to see my work all together as it is usually packed up! I think it is a very colourfull collection of a variety of mediums and I would like to think it creates a nice atmosphere to have a cuppa and a piece of homemade cake!

Here's a taster:

Winter Update
I had a very successful Christmas season with many lovely comments about my Christmas card. I sold a painting at the Affordable Art Exhibition in Lyme Regis and had a card published in the Craft Creations Magazine Issue 48. The glass Kite Suncatchers are still proving to be very popular - have you seen the Valentine Angel Kite?

My card is the red square one with the padded heart in the centre.

The card is available for sale in the webshop.

Winter 2007
For those of you familiar with my Gift Shop may be surprised to see how much this website and the Gift Shop have changed. I have been doing some research and have given both a complete overhaul. My next task is to improve the quality of the photographs, something us artists all struggle with! I have had a lot of positive feedback to this year's Christmas Card, 40 Winks in Lyme Regis. People have even asked to buy the original painting. The Glass Kites have also been met with enthusiasm and have been selling very well. Have a great festive season and don't forget to take of yourself as well as everyone else!
